daren + vanessa // married | maysara winery {oregon wedding photography}

what can i say about this wedding? Daren and Vanessa are made for each other. i was there when they met, and i've had the great pleasure of getting to be friends with both of them over the last five years. they are loyal, wonderful friends and they are so good to each other. i can't really express how special it was for me to photograph their wedding. i'm so happy for them!

many many thanks to my fabulous second shooter, Brie Mullin - some of her beautiful images are mixed in below.

maryam + damon // married | pasha restaurant {portland wedding photography}

well hey there! i am in the thick of wedding season and it's been months since i've had a chance to blog anything. so here i am trying to catch up - starting by sharing this awesome Persian wedding from May. Maryam and Damon and their families were a joy to work with. my time with them began with a hike to Wahclella Falls the day before the wedding, and culminated in their meaningful, gorgeous and wonderfully fun celebration at Pasha Restaurant the following evening. i had never been to a Persian wedding before and it was such a beautiful experience! so, without further ado - enjoy the photos! and have a great weekend :)

zach + shaina // married | silcox hut {oregon wedding photography}

Zach and Shaina were married in February - a beautiful, intimate ceremony at the cozy Silcox Hut at Timberline on Mt Hood. They've been together since high school and have been on countless adventures together - it seemed fitting to me that they celebrated their wedding at such an epic location. We took a snowcat to get there (first time i had ever been on one of those! super fun and kind of nervewracking, especially on the way back down in the dark) - the hut is above the main lodge at 7000 feet so it really felt like a whole other world. Especially with all the crazy snow! It was so intense we couldn't shoot outside much but we did manage a couple portraits - Zach and Shaina were very good sports!

Twinkly lights, candles, hanging baubles, white flowers and gold sequin tablecloths made an elegant setting for the family-style dinner at the reception. These two are such a stylish couple - Shaina wore a gorgeous beaded gown with fur stole and Zach's blue suit and pocket watch were very dapper. The blue fabric on her bouquet was the same material that Zach had used to make them bracelets in high school.

i am ridiculously thankful that the amazing Jay Eads was willing to be my 2nd shooter/backup for this wedding. i was 38 weeks pregnant at the time and couldn't have done this without him! some of his photos are mixed in below - see if you can spot the one of prego-photog-me! ;)

a million congratulations to Zach and Shaina and their families - thanks for such a special weekend.

enjoy xx

rachel + andrew // married | north star ballroom {portland wedding photography}

wrapping up my 2015 wedding blog posts (fiiiiiinally) and i can think of no better way to cap it off than with Rachel & Andrew's stunning and exuberant wedding! you may remember these two from their fun lifestyle engagement session (check it out here).

Rachel says it best: "We threw a big party and called it a wedding." But what a gorgeous party it was! Vintage details paired with unique touches like gold animals and dinosaurs accenting the florals and place cards; Rachel's exquisite beaded dress - everything came together with a Gatsby-esque flair and the North Star Ballroom was a perfect venue. And they had quite the dance party!!

It was truly a pleasure to be part of this day. Many thanks to my awesome second shooter, Sarah Valentine - she is always wonderful to work with and some of her images are mixed in below.

nicole + joe // married | troutdale house {portland wedding photography}

Nicole and Joe are so awesome. I knew their wedding was going to be amazing from the first time we chatted through email - and I had the best time with them on their engagement session (see the blog post here)! Their day was full of quirky and personal details inspired by Pokémon - invitations, centerpieces, delicate beaded backdrop behind the dessert table, tissue-paper bouquets, jewelry, Poké Ball ring holders: everything was so colorful and fun, just like the two of them. It's been a pleasure getting to know them and share in this time in their lives and I know they have plenty of wonderful adventures ahead!
